The Piazza Story

Piazza Produce was founded in 1970 by Pete Piazza and his father, Paul. Together they built a business that became known for its quality, safety and responsiveness. In 1997, Piazza Produce joined with another Indianapolis produce supplier, Indianapolis Fruit Company, Inc. In 2007, Piazza acquired McCartney Produce. Today, they all work together to provide both the food service and retail industries with fruit, vegetables, dairy and floral products. Piazza Produce handles food service distribution while all retail distribution is done out of the Indy Fruit facility.

Our mission? It’s stated in our tagline: Produce a fresh experience together. Piazza Produce goes beyond the basics to help customers run their operations more effectively and to generate more profitable sales.

Through the years Piazza Produce has joined with some of the nation’s leading organizations to provide our clients with unique products and the freshest produce available. We are proud to be members of Pro*Act, a buyer’s co-op that contracts and trades with the industry’s leading growers and shippers. Our partnership with Harvest Sensations brings us a wide selection of unique and hard-to-find produce.
